Qeshm Combined Cycle Power Plant Project
Delta Offshore Group successfully executed the engineering and construction of the seawater intake system for the Qeshm Island Combined Cycle Power Plant. The project was aimed at providing a reliable and continuous seawater supply for cooling purposes, executed under complex coastal and offshore conditions.

The scope of work covered the complete construction of onshore and offshore seawater intake facilities, including marine earthworks, pipeline installation, and protection works. Special construction methods were adopted to ensure safe execution, environmental control, and long-term operational reliability.
A temporary dike was constructed to allow controlled dewatering and safe installation of large-diameter pipelines in the nearshore area. Within this protected zone, Delta Offshore Group installed 4,000 meters of GRP pipelines with a diameter of 1,800 mm, forming the main onshore and nearshore intake system.
For the offshore section of the intake, 2,500 meters of HDPE pipelines (Ø 1,800 mm) were installed. Offshore works included precise trenching, pipeline laying, and backfilling, ensuring stability of the intake line and protection against marine and hydrodynamic conditions.
