Delta Offshore Technology successfully delivered the Mokran Seawater Intake Project under an EPC contract, providing a high-capacity and environmentally responsible seawater intake system for desalination purposes. A key feature of this project was the execution of offshore intake pipelines using the micro-tunneling (trenchless) method beneath the seabed.

The project was designed to supply 560,000 cubic meters per day of seawater to the desalination facilities. Given the sensitive coastal environment and seabed conditions, a trenchless micro-tunneling solution was selected to minimize environmental impact, avoid open excavation, and ensure high construction accuracy.

Delta Offshore Technology executed the offshore pipeline installation using advanced micro-tunneling technology, enabling precise tunnel excavation beneath the seabed without disturbing the marine surface. The method ensured controlled ground stability, high alignment accuracy, and safe installation of intake pipelines.
The works included construction of launch and reception shafts, installation of reinforced concrete jacking pipes, continuous laser-guided excavation, slurry handling and separation systems, and recovery of the tunneling machine at sea upon completion of the drive.
